Nasarawa State House of Assembly has said that the Nasarawa United football club remains one of the state pride which the assembly will support with legislation and other necessary assistance that will enable the club,its Junior team and Amazon to succeed in all ramifications.
Chairman House Committee on Youths and Sports Hon Salihu Musa Iyimoga(ZLP ,Doma North)stated this when the state commissioner for Youths and Sports Development Othman Bala Adams led other management of the ministry for 2020 Budget performance at the assembly complex in lafia today.
He emphasized the need for the commissioner and his management team and other stakeholders in the sporting industry in the state to come together and fashion out ways to get the sector lifeline.
On the issue of autonomy for the club,the chairman said is not an issue to rush but study carefully its advantages and disadvantages before taking any action to that effect just as he assured of the committee’s readiness to do everything humanly possible to intervene in seeing that most of challenges facing the ministry are address.
Hon Iyimoga emphasized the need for unity and understanding among them especially the management of the ministry to achieve optimal result.
On his part,the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Dev.Othman Bala Adams spoke extensively on the successes achieved and challenges of the ministry.
He revealed a Five Year Policy Drive aimed at turning around the activities of the ministry.
Contributing,Chairman Nasarawa United Football Club Isaac Danladi advocated for partial autonomy for the club to enhance its performance just as he pledged total commitment to give the club more life.
He also spoke on issues of sponsorship,revenue generation and other emerging challenges.
