The Chairman of Super Eagles supporters club prince Vincent Okumagba recently made a matured yelled statement that any progressive supporters club should not see others as a rival.
” How many people actually wear green in the stadium when the national team is on duty?” He queried.
” Before now with a central supporters club we could boast of about 150 members.Add the various groups now, the figures are overwhelming”
Prince Okumagba made this timely call in Canada where he is presently on tour of mobilising members in the diaspora for SESC.
The space is big enough for everyone to operate especially as the Govt is not even doling out monies to individual groups. There are no factions but different groups with almost similar goals, victory at the end of every game is the keyword he further explained.
” My plan is to set the pace for others to follow, I plan to hand over in the nearest future to the energized young minds in the club”
Only recently Prince Okumagba identified with the Nigeria women football league board in her campaign against rape.
” Rape is evil and must be condemned he told Wale Ajayi a foremost sports journalist domiciled in Canada.
He followed his commitment up as he showed solidarity with female journalists in a esteem whatsap group NSM rebranded with the sum of 50,000 Naira.
