President of Nigeria Women Football League side, Naija Ratels FC, Barrister Paul Edeh has thrown his weight behind Super Eagles tactician, Gernot Rhor to do better than he has done in the last three years.
The Franco-German signed a new two-year contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation a week ago and is expected to lead Nigeria to her seventh World Cup finals and lift the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroun.
During a virtual interview session on a popular Sports Whatsapp Group, Family United By Football (FUBF), the astute footballer administrator said he expects Gernot Rhor to lift the 2021 AFCON in Cameroun and perhaps go past the second round stage at the World Cup.
” My expectation is the same as that of many Nigerians”. He told FUBF.
” I expect him to do better than he did in the past, because for him to have even been considered to be at the helms of affair even after all the politics that happened before his reappointment. He should know that Nigerians expect a lot from him.
” Its only when you win that Nigerians will continue to support you, it is good that someone like Joseph Yobo has been appointed to assist him, probably he might bring his own experience to play when the games resumes.
He continued: ” We have seen in the past that Nigerians love good football and will always support victorious coaches, ever since we had the kind of leadership provided by Dutchman, Clemens Westerhof, we have always struggled, but I look forward to Gernot Rhor winning the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroun and also qualifying us for the World Cup in Qatar. He concluded.
