While chatting with NFF media, the China based forward said individually 2018 was her best but as a team, 2016 was the best.
“Individually 2018 was the best but as a team, 2016 was the best because we defeated Cameroon at home, in front of their fans, president, first lady. We were not treated well, we were fighting for our payments but we had a team talk and decided to go for the trophy at all cost. And we did it. They always want to beat us, so we knew it would be difficult but we scored the goal and won it all.”
“I felt bad after the game, because I saw the girls crying, their president had promised them a lot but we on the other hand had only the trophy to hope on. But I was happy we defeated them as payback for all the bullying on and off the pitch.” She added.
Speaking on if she would go into coaching after her football career, the 26 year old said she is not sure yet about going into the coaching job.
“I have a coaching badge (C licence). I would got the B licence last year but I left America. I’m not sure if I’ll go into coaching after retirement but time will tell.”
Franny as she is called scored a goal at the 2016 AWCON and has won four AWCON with the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
