Wladimir Klitschko jokes he felt sorry for “little guy, Anthony Joshua” as he let him win

Wladimir Klitschko has humorously teased Anthony Joshua in his latest comment on Twitter as he pranks that he allowed Joshua to win him in the bout which was a back-and-forth affair, with Joshua dominating the early rounds before Klitschko made a furious comeback, even putting Joshua down on the mat in the sixth with a big right punch but wasn’t enough to take down the 27-year-old boxer, who previously won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics and had an undefeated record.

Joshua was able to get Klitschko down twice in the 11th round, taking the TKO to stay undefeated for his career with the bout named as the Fight of the Year by The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America recording over 95000 spectators in attendance.

He posted on his official Twitter timeline, “3 years ago today, I let @anthonyfjoshua win. Felt sorry for the little guy, laughs. Joke. Great Champion, classic fight, we both grew tremendously since this match. Thanks fans for supporting both of us! #obsessed https://t.co/3Qnk7tOS8s

It will be recalled that the fight took place on 29th April 2017 at Wembley Stadium in London, England, with Joshua’s IBF and the vacant WBA(Super) and IBO heavyweight titles on the line. Joshua, 27, won the match via technical knockout in the 11th round as Klitschko, 41, announced his retirement from boxing a few months after the fight.
