NFSC urges muslim faithfuls to use Ramadan for spiritual warfare against coronavirus

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club ( NFSC) has congratulated Nigerian muslim faithfuls on the Ramadan season, which begins Friday after sighting of the seasonal moon on Thursday in Saudi Arabia.

In a telephone chat with the media, the National Chairman of NFSC, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, described the coming and celebration of this year’s Ramadan fasting, as auspicious and timely.

” I am happy for muslim members and indeed, all muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and across the world, that we are all alive to witness and celebrate another Ramadan period.

” This year’s fasting period is remarkable because of the present predicament of the world due to the coronavirus pandemic,” the boss of Nigeria’s foremost supporters club, said.

The successful businessman and football enthusiast enjoined all muslim faithfuls across the world to seize the season for a spiritual warfare against the ravaging global pandemic.

” We are a prayerful people. And I want to urge my muslim brothers and sisters, as well as, all Nigerians to use this period of 30 days fasting, for supplications and spiritual warfare against the coronavirus pandemic.

” We agree that so far, the deadly desease has defeated all logical and medical postulations. However, I believe strongly that with prayers, fasting and sincere supplications to God Almighty, He would heal and save the world from this killer coronavirus,” Ikpea prayed.

He concluded by admonishing the people to adhere strictly to the government directives, as well as, obey the health advise by staying at home, washing the hands regularly and using hand sanitizers.
