In the NPFL game played today at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Umudim Nnewi, the Nnewi United International Consultant who is also the FIFA Hall of Famer and Former Super Falcons Coach, Maureen Mmadu alongside the Head of Communications of Nnewi United FC, Ugochukwu ‘Thanos’ Ifeanyi were on song to support our sister club in their quest to best the Akwa Ibom based Dakkada FC formerly Akwa Starlets
Also in attendance was the torchlight of Nigeria Football, Barr Iyke Igbokwe, who was impressed by the quality of players and play of Anambra Warriors
The turn out of fans was also encouraging, helped by the fact that the Corona Virus had forced a shutdown of every other league across Europe
As the only Anambra based team left in the Professional League, the club deserves every iota of support it can get
