The Nigerian Football Federation and Super Eagle’s Head Coach Gernot Rohr are being hopeful of convincing the international football star Joshua ZirkzeeĀ to pledge his international future to the Super Eagles.
According to reports by FranceFootball, a france based authoritative newspaper via Goal.com the NFF and Rohr want Zirkzee to play for the Super Eagles and that talks are ongoing.
Joshua Zirkzee was born in Schiedam, Netherlands. The Netherlands player who was previously in Feyenoord academy. The Dutch footballer is qualified to play for the Nigerian team as he has a Nigerian parent.
The Royal Dutch Football Association was believed to be in pole position ahead of her Nigerian counterparts for the services of Zirkzee, given that he has been provisionally cap-tied to the European giants since October 13, 2017, when he made his competitive debut for the U17 team in a European Championship qualifier against Hungary.
Ha has previously played for the Netherlands U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-18 teams, Zirkzee made his U19 debut in 2019 and had scored an awesome eight goals in nine games for the team.
