Mark Mentors basketball club of Abuja coach, Adeka Daudu has told sports247.ng that he is happy with the discovery of new talents during the just concluded Nigeria Women Basketball League qualifiers.
Daudu said one of the positives taken from the Savannah Conference in Abuja was the birth of young athletes and future potentials for the country.
The veteran basketball coach said he is happy to see the emergence of young players who are determined to carve a niche for themselves.
He also praised the organizers for ensuring that the competition eventually went ahead, despite all odds railing against it.
Daudu stated: “I am happy that it all went well, and that we saw the discovery of new talents.
“I also thank the organisers for making the league to take place even in the face of an incredible odd that appeared very unlikely to hold.”
