NPFL 2019/20 : ENYIMBA ARE NOT INFALLIBLE – NASARAWA UNITED TEAM MANAGER

Team Manager of Nasarawa United Football Club, Solomon Babanjah, has stated that seven times league and twice CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba of Aba are beatable despite current disparities on log standings between the two teams at the on-going 2019/2020 Nigerian Professional Football League Season.

Babanjah made the disclosure shortly after Nasarawa United’s training session ahead of the clash against the Aba Elephants slated for Sunday, 23rd February, 2020, in Lafia.

“Enyimba, without doubts, is the best team in the country for now and one of the best in the Continent, but with due respect to them, Nasarawa United is prepared to play them on Sunday.

“We have beaten Enyimba here before and come Sunday, the story won’t be any different from our previous positive records against them.

“I know it’s going to be a very difficult match; the situation of our team is bad, but we are basking on the euphoria of our last victory against Jigawa Golden Stars to get the three maximum points.”

The returning Team Manager revealed that the team has no injury concerns and are condemned to victory during the weekend.

“For now, no injury concerns in our team. The players are all intact and ready for action.

“We had opportunity to sign forty players and each one of them is important to the team.

“The spirit of the players is very high. The Deputy Governor was here to spur them up, and this alone makes the players happy, and coupled with the fact that there is a new management now”, he said.

Solomon Babanjah called on the fans of Nasarawa United and other critical stakeholders in the state to turn out en masse to cheer the team to victory.

“We are calling on the fans of the club and all those who love the team to keep supporting the team up until the regulation time, and we strongly hope, with all the necessary supports, we will be out of the relegation zone”, he assured.
