Director for grassroots development in the ministry, Dr Ademola Are has assured that the upcoming National Sports Festival will be a huge success in Abuja.
Speaking to sports247.ng about his expectations from the festival now billed for December in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Are said Nigerians can be rest assured that everything will go well.
Are stated further that the federal government will be hugely involved in footing the bills of the festival, despite revealing that the ministry has also secured a sponsor.
Are said: “I am very happy to inform you that the sports ministry has secured a willing sponsor for the successful hosting of this year’s edition of the National Sports Festival in the FCT.
“This gives us a reassurance that everything will go well for the festival this time, after several postponements.
“This is coupled with the fact that the federal government will also be heavily involved in backing the reality of the festival coming to fruiting eventually.”
