Nigeria PFL: Ogunbote Seeks Bright Start On November 27th

Rangers International of Enugu coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has declared that his side will be gunning for a bright start to their continental campaign when they line out away to Defence FC of Ethiopia on November 27.

 

 

Sports247.ng can report that the fixture is a preliminary match in the race for the CAF Confederation Cup, and Ogunbote admits The Flying Antelopes cannot afford to take their opponents for granted.

Ogunbote disclosed that The Coal City side will begin training for the clash on Monday in Enugu, as he hopes his team can record a big win in the qualifying tie then go on to shine in 2019 CAF Confederation.

Though he admits his team’s opponents are little known and from a small football playing nation, Ogunbote promised that Rangers will not underrate their foes, but says they will use them a stepping stone to greater exploits on the continent.

Ogunbote stressed: “We have got a fair draw. We need to make a statement on the continent
“We don’t have to underrate the opponents, but we must be sure of winning convincingly here in Enugu to make the return leg a mere formality.”
