Odion Ighalo has been allowed to move freely in public despite being restricted from Manchester United’s training ground amidst corona-virus epidemic but is scheduled to have his first training session with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad tomorrow, Saturday ahead of Man U’s match against Chelsea this coming Monday.
The new signing has been staying at the famous City Centre Hotel, The Lowry, surrounded by other guests and staffs. Since arrival, he is reported to have trained at the National Taekwondo Centre near Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium after arrival from China at the beginning of the month.
The decision for Ighalo to go through a specialist conditioning plan alongside a personal trainer has been described as a precautionary method by Manchester United.
Odion Ighalo will for the first time meet with his new teammates this weekend after a 14-days training away from the team. Regardless being allowed to fly to the UK, United omitted him from their winter training camp in Spain over fears he may not be allowed to re-enter the country.
There’s no speculation that he has contracted Coronavirus but the government guidelines state that isolation or quarantine for people arriving from Wuhan or Hubei Province.
Manchester United are set to return to Manchester after having their final training session in Marbella, Spain.
The 30-year-old has not played since December 6, but Solskjaer is desperate for him to make an immediate impact and boost United’s bid to secure a top-four finish.
