Arrangement have been concluded for Wikki tourists fc to return to its home ground at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium for the continuation of league matches 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football Season (NPFL).
A team of facility inspectors from the League Management Company,LMC from Abuja led by Alhaji Bala Garba yesterday inspected the Stadium.
The team was received by the Commissioner Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Adamu Manu Soro and the Chairman Bauchi State Football Association Pascal Patrick (MON) among other important personalities and football lovers.
Places inspected include, the main bowl, playing ground, dressing room and the medical centre.
Although the team leader did not give a tentative date for the team to start it’s matches at the stadium,but said their duty is to inspect and report back to LMC for final decision.
It could be recalled that contract for the upgrading of stadium was awarded in 2017 and since then Wikki tourists has played two seasons in Jos and Gombe and the current season in Gombe too, which has caused untold hardships one the Players,Coaches and Supporters.
Meanwhile, the Wikki tourists fc is expected to have its first training session at the Stadium today Friday 10/1/2020 by 4pm.
