The National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF), has sent a congratulatory message to Super Falcons and Barcelona star forward, Asisat Oshoala on her award as the 2019 Africa Female Footballer at the CAF awards held Tuesday,in Cairo, Egypt. As the captain of the Super Falcons, Oshoala won her fourth award as Africa’s female best footballer.
In the message signed on behalf of the union by the General Secretary of NANPF, Comrade Austin Popo, it specifically stated that with the award received by Oshoala as the best female African footballer, there is hope for Nigerian football.
Popo, a former Nigeria international winger, remarked that the honour done to Oshoala, calls for more work. As he added that the player’s union would not relent in its efforts to ensure that Nigerian footballers home and diaspora gets due rewards for their talents efforts and hardwork.
