FIRST LEAGUE GOAL EXCITES OLAFIMIHAN

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan forward, Gafar Olafimihan, said scoring his first league goal for the team is a moment he will cherish for a long time.

Olafimihan, who was Osun United of Osogbo top scorer last season, pitched tent with the Oluyole Warriors and have vowed to re enact his goal scoring form.

The energetic forward, perfectly slotted home a well laid pass from Opeoluwa Olufemi in the 37th minutes to put 3SC two goals up in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Match day two encounter away to Abia Comets in Aba.

‘I am so excited scoring my first league goal for this great club, Shooting Stars, it was a great moment for me because I was able to do what I have been brought in to do”, said Olafimihan who promised to keep banging in the goals for the Ibadan soccer lords.

The U-23 national team invitee, praised his teammates for their doggedness in the two matches played so far, stressing that team work, has been the magic wand of the team.

“I must also thank our coaches,led by Edith Agoye for believing in me and also the Rasheed Balogun led management, which to me, is second to none in the country.
