Skipper of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Waheed Omololu, said the only language he and his colleagues understand, going into Saturday’s match against Abia Comets is victory.
The Oluyole Warriors will slug it out with the Umuahia based side in a Nigeria National League (NNL) Match Day two encounter, with the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba as the battle ground.
The experienced central defender told, Shooting Stars Media after Friday’s training that they (the players) have resolved to emerge victorious in tomorrow’s game for reasons.
Highlighting those reasons, Omololu said. “Firstly, we have no option than to win the match for our fans, spread across the globe.
“We cannot afford to let our people down this season and positive results from games like this are very important to our aspiration.
Secondly,, Abia Comets were the only team that got four points from us last season, holding us to a1-1 draw in the very first game on our home soil, so, we wanr to pay them back” , said the 3SC skipper.
It is definitely going to be tough match owing to the fact that both sides are not new to each other, having met severally.
While the coach Edith Agoye tutored lads would aim at the maximum points to consolidate on last Sunday’s victory over Go Round FC, Abia Comets, under the tutelage of coach Bethel Orji would go for a win, having drawn their first match, 1-1 away to new comers, FC Nilayo in Abeokuta.
