Imama Amapakabo: My fate depends on NFF verdict

Nigeria was eliminated from the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations after the team drew goalless against South Africa on Friday in group B on four points.

Imama Amapakabo and his boys didn’t qualify for the WAFU Cup nor qualify for the CHAN 2020. Their only chance of redemption went down the drain failing to book the tickets for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

However, the head coach of the Nigeria’s Under 23 side has revealed that his future could only be judged by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The former Rangers Coach his waiting on NFF verdict in his continuity with the team.

“It is totally out of my hands. We have to look at the future; this has ended, whichever way we want to look at it,” Imama said.

“And it depends on what the federation wants in terms of going forward.” He concluded.
