Kwara United on Wednesday afternoon, November 6, were forced to a 1-1 draw by Crown FC in a tension soaked friendly encounter in Ogbomoso.
Crown FC started the match impressively with the duo of Abbey Thompson and Orende Orende causing problems for Kwara United defenders.
The hosts almost took the lead in the fourth minute through a fantastic shot played by Moses Mustapha, but goalkeeper Segun Fatunwashe was superb with a save.
Kwara United took the lead in the 20th minute through a superb goal by Owoyemi Sunday who was assisted by Abdullasam Abdulsallam.
Crown FC tried their best to get the equaliser before the end of the first half, but they failed to restore parity.
The Ogbomoso club had to wait till the 65th minute before netting an equalizer through Daniel Bernabas who scored via a penalty after Bada Opeyemi brought him down.
Both sides tried to get the winning goal in this encounter with many chances, but the match ended 1-1 in Ogbomoso.
Meanwhile, Crown FC will be traveling to Ilorin this coming Saturday for another friendly match against Kwara United.
