A group of young players selected during the recently concluded Kanu International Football Academy ( KIFA), the national camp held in Ibadan are billed to attend trials with different top European football clubs in the coming weeks.
According to a statement by the Director-General of the fastly growing football academy, Prince Dapo Ajibade, the footballers are amongst the selected players that passed the intensive and the highly technical national football camp, that was witnessed by top foreign football scouts.
” We have been inundated by requests from several top European club sides to send some of the young players from our vast pool of talented footballers for trials,” the vastly experienced football administrator and former boss of Sunshine Stars of Akure, disclosed.
And speaking also on the planned Europe football trials, the National Administrative Director of KIFA, Harrison Iyonmana, remarked that the academy is working assiduously towards achieving its set targets for the development of football in Nigeria.
“Our mission is to positively change the narratives of grassroots and youth developmental football in this part of the world. And these young lads are from our vast pool of immensely talented footballers.
“And we’re sure that they would go out to the world and make KIFA and Nigeria proud,” the hardworking administrator further enthused.
He added that the lucky players are amongst those that were drawn from about 40 KIFA football centres spread across Nigeria that attended the national camp, held in Ilaji, Ibadan, Oyo State.
