The refurbished Abubakar Labo Controller Stadium, Malumfashi will come alive from this Wednesday as Malumfashi FC have lined up two quality Inter State friendly matches against Gidano FC, Kano and Jigawa Golden Stars, Dutse.
According to the newly appointed head coach of the club, Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi, the aim of the friendly matches is to further prepare the mental and physical toughness of the players ahead of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League, NNL season proposed for November 2nd.
“We have played two friendly matches before now. We won the first 4-3 against Malumfashi selected and lost 0-1 to Kano Pillars last Saturday in Kano.
“The aim of these two matches is to further prepare the players mentally and physically ahead of the new season and to see their reaction after the defeat to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
” We will give the new players the opportunity to impress like we did in the previous matches as the old players have been quite impressive.
Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi also took out time to commend the club’s chairman, his assistant coaches and other management staff for making him feel at home as quickly as possible.
“The club’s chairman, Alhaji Sirajo Umar Baba has been very supportive and provided me with virtually everything needed to succeed. My assistant coaches and other management staff have been amazing. We operate like one big family and i have no doubt that together history will be made with this great club,” he told Malumfashi FC media.
The match against Gidano FC comes up this evening by 4PM, while that of Jigawa Golden Stars comes up this Friday same time at the Abubakar Labo Controller Stadium, Malumfashi.
