It was all funfair on Tuesday as the veterans football club of Iwaya celebrated its first anniversary.
In doing so the veterans played a friendly football game with FFC to marked their one year in existence .
Even though the game was won by the visitors, Mr Deji was quoted to have said “Veterans football is not about winning competitions, it’s about relaxing the mind and exercising the body of footballers of yesteryears.
One love, let us enjoy ourselves.”
The chairman Mr Lawal Abimbola Rafui thanked everyone for the support and hard work put up for a successful anniversary.
The team train twice every month , second and last sunday of every month at Abete playing ground Iwaya , yaba.
