As parts of its plans to take world football by storm, Kanu International football academy have intensified its efforts beginning with the ongoing screening exercises for the players selected from its different centres spread across Nigeria to form what has been termed the KIFA national team.
Speaking with the media at the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Ibadan, venue of the programme, the technical director of KIFA, Abdulrasak Usman, was upbeat about the mission and determination of the well structured and professionally manned football centre to change the face of world football.
“We are poised to change the face of world football with our unique programmes aimed at discovering super and well educated talents for the benefits of Nigerian and global football.
“It is our desire to also change the narratives as it concerns grassroots football development. With over 20 centres in different parts of Nigeria and still counting, our collection of top class coaches and technical personnel are equally determined to make our products and KIFA, the benchmark for global grassroots football development,” said Usman, who also doubles as the National Auditor of Football Coaches Association of Nigeria.
