KANO PILLARS FC LEAVES FOR THE 1ST EDITION OF GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN CUP

Kano Pillars Football Club players and technical crew departed Kano for Ijebu Ode, Ogun State today, Monday 23rd September 2019 to attend the maiden edition of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s preseason tournament.

This latest development is contained in a statement made available to www.Kano-pillars.com by our mouthpiece, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa Garu.

Before their departure, Chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya charged them to be good ambassadors of the government and good people of the Kano state while they are at the Gateway state.

Alhaji Surajo said the club decided to participate in the tournament so as to sharpen and identify the grey areas that needed to be addressed ahead of the 2019/2020 NPFL season.

He maintained that the tournament would be served as an avenue to come up with the final list of players that would fly the colours of the Sai Masu Gida in the forthcoming season.

The team left the pyramid city with a total of forty players and technical crew members.

The National Cup holders would hope to better their last season’s second-place finished at the end of the 2019/2020 campaign.
