Executive Chairman Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr Kweku Adedayo Tandoh, has commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the great support he has given to sports since his assumption of office 100 days ago.
Tandoh stated that Governor Sanwo-Olu’s love for sports and the role he expects sports to play in achieving a Greater Lagos has been demonstrated in the flurry of sports programs and activities seen in Lagos in the past three months.
“Lagos State has hosted four international tournaments; Lagos International Badminton Classics, Africa Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) African Club Championships, ATTF Africa Cup Competition and the ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open, within the first 100 days of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
“Our sports-loving Governor has also ensured an excellent preparation of Team Lagos athletes participating in the National U-15 Youth Games starting in Ilorin later this week. The Sports Commission is also currently running a Lagos Sports Summer Camp for young children.
“These are just some examples of the support we are enjoying in the sports sector under the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu and we are most grateful to him,” Tandoh said.
