Squash will not feature doubles events at this year’s National Sports Festival any longer, as the body has accepted that the time is not yet ripe for them to step up to that level.
This much was made known in an interview with sports247.ng by the president of Squash Federation of Nigeria, Boye Oyerinde, who explained that male and female singles squash events will hold at Abuja 2018, but doubles will not.
Oyerinde said it is a strong desire of the federation to have doubles events at the festival, but he accepted that they cannot push for it now and hopes to achieve them in the event next year.
