FC Ifeanyiubah head coach Uche Okagbue has warned that it would be detrimental to any of the clubs in their remaining three games to under-estimate his bunch of young players at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Championship Playoff, sports247.ng learns
FC Ifeanyiubah failed to defend a first-half strike against Akwa United on Matchday 2, losing 2-1 at the end despite enjoying greater possession and creating better chances at goal. The young boys ran the length of the field from kick-off to full time but were shy in front of goal.
“Our biggest problem here is inexperience but I have a good squad. The joy of coaching is when you see players execute what you have thought them through here we were not able to get 100 per cent because they failed to convert the chances and it is all due to lack of experience,” Okagbue told journalists at the post-match conference.
