Abia Warriors goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo has described the return of Coach Emmanuel Deutsch to the club as a huge motivating influence.

Deutsch left Delta Force last month to return to relegation threatened Abia Warriors, and an impressive run of results have followed with Abia Warriors defeating Ifeanyi Ubah 3-0 and pummeling Heartland 4-2 away from home last weekend to increase their chances of survival.

This has led to the former Flying Eagles shot-stopper crediting his team’s fantastic run of results to the return of the Cameroonian.

“I think the coming back of the coach, Emmanuel Deutsch brought a big motivation to the team, you know.

“The way he plays with us, talks with us, laughs with us, encourages us. We had to bring out our best and play.”

Enaholo also expressed optimism that Abia Warriors, who are 10th on the log in group B of the NPFL and just a point from safety with three matches left to play will escape relegation.

“There is a lot of hope (we can escape relegation) because for the remaining games, we think we are going to pick the maximum points.”
