Super Eagles players Kenneth Omeruo and Ola Aina are set to return to their parent club, Chelsea due to the transfer ban inflicted on the London-based club.
Chelsea who were ban for a year by FIFA for market infractions will be hoping to add more quality to bolster their squad – and with the latest transfer ban, they would need to look to their loaned players to strengthen the squad.
Aina who has had a successful loan spell in the Italian Serie A with Torino might be brought back, as backup to club captain Cesar Azpillicuta despite Torino hoping to secure his service on a permanent basis due to the clause in his deal.
While Omeruo who has been brilliant in La Liga this season might be considered to be part of Mauricio Sarri’s squad next season following the contract situation of David Luiz and the injury to Antonio Rudiger – who faces a race against time to be fit for the new season.
The 25-year-old signed a contract extension with the club in the summer of 2017 and moved to Leganes at the beginning of the season.
Omeruo has been in superb form this season, starting in 25 of his 26 league games and helping the club retain their top-flight status.
