MFM FC gaffer, Fidelis Ilechukwu says his players has to more and give everything on the pitch after their narrow win over Rivers United on Sunday.
Rivers United dominated the game in MFM’s territory, but Chijioke Akuneto penalty handed the Olukoya Boys a 1-0 victory at the Agege Stadium.
However , Fidelis admits the visitors gave better performance than his side and had they convert their chances , the story would have been different.
“Rivers United is a fantastic side. It’s all about converting chances.”
“The only problem they had today was about their strikers putting the ball in the back of the net.”
“But talking about the quality (that they possess), they are a perfect team,” Ilechukwu said.
Meanwhile, Rivers United head Coach , Stanley Eguma also agreed with Ilechukwu’s assessment of his side.
“It wasn’t a bad game. It was just that we failed to convert the chances that we created,” Eguma disclosed
The nervy win means MFM maintains their third position on the log of NPFL Group A, while Rivers United dropped to seventh position.
