LBA: Seka Pascal and Gbenga Ogunbote shortlisted

Enugu Rangers striker Seka Pascal and his coach, Gbenga Ogunbote have been nominated for the League Bloggers Award for the month of April alongside three other players and managers.

 

Pascal, the only foreigner on the list was instrumental to Rangers’ imperious run of form in April, scoring four goals in six matches.

The Ivorian is shortlisted alongside Ibrahim Sunusi of Nasarawa United, Thomas Zenke of Enyimba and Amas Obasogie of newly promoted Bendel Insurance.

Ibrahim Sunusi who is getting his first chance to compete for the award scored three goals for the Lafia-based side Nasarawa United within the month under review.

Zenke contributed immensely in attack as the Peoples Elephant remain unbeaten in four games, while Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie kept three clean-sheets against Enyimba, Remo Stars and Kwara United.

For the coaches, Gbenga Ogunbote who tasted defeat once during the month against Insurance is competing against Enyimba’s Usman Abd’Allah who is yet to lose a game in ten NPFL matches, Stanley Eguma of Rivers United who also lost once in April and lastly Monday Odigie, coach of newly promoted Insurance.

The winner of the award will be announced on Thursday 9th of May, 2019.
