Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has stated that his team will not underrate the Libyan Mediterranean Knights ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification game away in Sfax.
Rohr posited that he is hopeful his team will pick a good result away in Tunisia and revealed that the team had similar preparation like the one they had last year in the double header World Cup qualifier against Cameroon although didn’t expect identical scoreline from the first leg.
“We will approach the game with all seriousness attached to it. The Super Eagles won’t be complacent despite defeating the same opposition 4-0 last weekend,” Rohr began in a chat with Sports247.ng.
“It’s a must win situation for us in Sfax. The boys won’t disappoint for sure.”
“In the 2018 World Cup qualifiers we faced Cameroon over two legs and came out with positive results. We have already gotten one of our games with Libya out of the way, the next match in Sfax will be very interesting for us.”
The game in Sfax will kickoff at 7pm tonight.
