Kano Pillars coach, Ibrahim Musa has disclosed that his team will move to Asaba on Monday, ahead of their clash with Rangers International of Enugu in the Federation Cup final.
The match is scheduled for Stephen Keshi Stadium, in the Dleta State capital, on Wednesday, October 24, and sports247.ng gathered that Musa has unfolded elaborate plans to ensure his side wins the game.
Musa said he submitted to the club’s management a proposal to see the team commence camping in Benin City on Wednesday, a week before the final, as he aims to work on all lapses noted in past matches.
The Pillars gaffer said they will work to correct their weaknesses and build on their areas of strength, in order to stand a very good chance of stopping The Flying Antelopes next midweek.
Musa said he was happy that Kano State government gave approval for the club to camp outside The City of Groundnut Pyramids preparatory to the final next midweek.
Musa thanked the government for giving the club all necessary support in the competition, adding that the squad are rearing to win their first ever domestic Cup trophy.
He further said, after Pillars qualified for their second ever Federation Cup final, the management appealed to the state government to fund the team’s camping.
Musa said the team will now relocate to Benin City and put finishing touches to their preparations for the final.
He added: “I can confirm to you that we have settled for Benin City where we are going to camp for the finals.
“Approval has been given; so we would camp for at least four days in Benin City. From there we shall move to Asaba for the match.
“We need total concentration for the task ahead. It is going to be a very difficult match so there is need for us to prepare very well.”
