Legal Adviser to the late Rashidi Yekini, Barrister Jubril Muhammed Olanrewaju has revealed some hidden truths about the Goal King and highest goal scorer of Nigeria, late Rashidi Yekini.
Barrister Jubril who is also the Coordinator of Rashidi Yekini Foundation was a super guest on Friday night in one of the leading Sports platforms in Nigeria, *Sports World* which was co hosted by Ibadan based Journalist, *Sunday Agunbiade* and the new Acting National Chairman, *Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club, NESC *Kemi Ogunfuwa Popoola*.
Kwara state born Legal luminary said, Rashidi Yekini was a spiritual being and he is someone who sees ahead of others. He added that 37 goals record holder was a generous person and he could give to a fault to make life meaningful to others throughout his life time

“Hmmm! Without being too emotional, Gangling, as my client was fondly called was a very close pal. I had so many fond memories of him. But, I always remember and missed his spiritual advice. I hope you know that Yekini was a very spiritual person. I remember when I was competing with a Very rich Lebanese guy, who was using his influence to take away the job I was given by Starcomms Plc in 2006”
“I was given a contract to acquire sites for base stations for the entire Oyo, Ogun and Kwara States. The Lebanese guy who was very close to Chief Lababedi, the company Chairman, almost snatched the contract.
I left lagos and came back to Ibadan , fortunately Rashidi met me along Onireke road. He was worried when he noticed my mood. He forced me to tell him the problem. He assured me that he was going to pray over it but insist that I should also pray too and lo and behold, I got my job back. That was a day that I can never forget in my life with his spiritual gifts”
“He also saw his death coming and he warned me and pleaded for protection but I couldn’t despite all my efforts. You must have heard that he became more reclusive before he died. He actually became very sad”
“In fact I can boldly say that Rashidi Yekini was murdered by my findings and the confession made by his late sister, Rafiat Yekini. The family thought he was not behaving normally. He was accused of abandoning them and they felt he needed help (unorthodox). He was abducted and died weeks after the abduction”
Barrister Jubril Muhammed added that Rashidi was also a generous person as he used the rest of his life to give succour to the needy. Giving out car, Cash, money and even property.” he concluded.
He therefore prayed for the Goal King to continue to rest in perfect peace
