Following a humiliating 6-0 loss to Ikorodu City FC, Katsina United’s head coach assured fans of a strong comeback. Just two days later, the team showed resilience by holding league leaders Remo Stars to a goalless draw (0-0) on their home turf.
Buoyed by the improved performance, the Dikko Warriors returned to Katsina to prepare for a showdown with Abia Warriors FC. Katsina United got off to a flying start, scoring two quick goals within the first two minutes of the match.
Although Abia Warriors pulled one back in the 15th minute, the first half ended 2-1 in favor of the home side.
Katsina United dominated the second half, adding three more goals to seal a commanding victory — their biggest win in a major league match.
Speaking after the game, head coach Azeez Mohamed Audu said, “I’m very proud of my boys. They played according to instructions. I have full confidence in this team, and I want us to keep this momentum going as we gear up for our next match against Sunshine Stars.”
