Lagos Athletic Knights remained the team to beat, improving to 5–0 with a thrilling 35–25 win over third-place challengers Ikan Sports. Dabo Green continued his MVP-caliber campaign, slicing through defenses with ease. Ikan didn’t go down quietly, pushing the Knights to the edge, but once again, the Knights’ composure and offensive firepower proved too much.
The Warriors kept the heat on, dismantling Panthers Sports 38–12 in a performance that showcased their depth and precision. Misturah and Gbemisola were all over the field, and the Warriors’ defense showed why they’re the toughest unit in the league.
The day’s emotional moment belonged to Lagos Alpha, who finally got their first win of the season—downing Off-SZN Athletic 31–21 in a gritty, back-and-forth battle. For Alpha, it was a long-awaited taste of success, while Off-SZN now faces the harsh reality of an 0–5 start.
Meanwhile, the Greenbacks bounced back in a big way, blanking Lagos Raptors 20–0 with a stifling defensive showing and clutch plays from Emeka and Rashedat. While the win didn’t shift their place on the table, it sent a message: the Greenbacks are not done yet.
