Nigerian Olympian Prestina Ochonogor showed glimpses of her potential at the Michael Johnson Invitational, finishing fourth in the women’s long jump event with a best effort of 6.13m.
Ochonogor opened her series with the 6.13m mark—her strongest jump of the day—and followed it with another solid attempt of 6.11m.

However, the competition took a turn as she recorded four consecutive no jumps (ND) from her third attempt onward, ending her challenge without further improvement.
Despite the missed opportunities, her early marks demonstrated the form that once earned her a spot on the Olympic stage. With a personal outdoor best of 6.48m, Ochonogor is expected to build on this performance as the season progresses.
The Michael Johnson Invitational served as an early-season test, and the Nigerian athlete will be looking to fine-tune her rhythm and technique in the coming weeks. With consistency and refinement, Ochonogor remains a strong contender in the long jump scene this outdoor season.
