Four talented Nigerian boxers are set to make history as they represent the nation in the inaugural Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix, Sports247 reports.
The Nigerians will writing their new in the history book as one of the first set of boxers that participate in the groundbreaking tournament that will feature 128 fighters across four divisions competing for global glory.

This landmark event, sanctioned by the World Boxing Council (WBC), kicks off April 17–20 at the prestigious BLVD City Global Theater in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The tournament will unfold over five rounds from April to December 2025, showcasing matchups in featherweight, junior welterweight, middleweight, and heavyweight divisions.
Each weight class begins with 32 fighters. Over four action-packed days, 16 bouts will take place daily, with all fights consisting of six three-minute rounds.
The opening stage will reduce the pool from 128 to 64 competitors, with subsequent rounds slated for August, October, and December culminating in the grand final.
