NWFL Premiership: Red-Hot Ajakaye Closes Gap on Olamide in Golden Boot Race

The race for the 2024 NWFL Premiership Golden Boot is intensifying as Remo Stars Ladies’ forward Bolaji Olamide remains in the lead with nine goals.

However, Robo Queens’ standout striker Opeyemi Ajakaye has closed the gap to just one, following her eighth goal of the season on Matchday 11.

Ajakaye’s recent scoring spree, netting six goals in her last three matches highlights her blistering form in the second half of the season.

A feat which include a hat-trick performance against Benue Queens which further underlines her determination to help her team get the needed results as well as clinch the top scorer award.

The competition remains fierce, with a cluster of players hot on the duo heels.
