Record holders Al Ahly will face arch-rivals, Defending Champions Zamalek in an all-Egyptian final at the 2025 Africa Women’s Volleyball Championship in Abuja on Sunday.
Ahly made it into the final following a commanding 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-21) semi-final victory over CFC on Friday.

Ahly came into the match with confidence and made an immediate impact, dominating the first set with powerful hitting to secure a 25-15 win.
The second set saw a spirited fight from both sides, but Ahly’s structured play and solid defence gave them the edge, clinching it 25-23.
The Egyptians maintained their momentum in the third set, displaying tactical versatility and strong blocking to limit CFC’s chances.
At 7-7 in the third set, CFC appeared poised for a comeback, but Ahly regrouped swiftly, igniting the crowd with their passionate play. Their renewed intensity helped them close out the set 25-21 and seal their place in Sunday’s final.
With momentum firmly on their side, Al Ahly head into the championship match against Zamalek full of confidence, setting the stage for a thrilling all-Egyptian showdown.
While defending Champions Zamalek made it to the final, after beating Kenya Pipeline 3-2 (25-23, 26-28, 25-19, 26-24, 15-12) to set date in the finals on Sunday.
