This season also marks a historic shift for the league. For the first time, Showtime Flag Football is introducing two major tournaments in a single year—the Showtime Summer Series and the Showtime Fall Series—making it the largest professional coed flag football league in Africa.
“This year is a game-changer for Showtime Flag,” said CEO Manal Nassar during the opening press conference. “We are giving athletes more opportunities to compete, fans more thrilling action to enjoy, and the sport a bigger platform to grow.”
Off-SZN vs. Greenbacks
Off-SZN is desperate to bounce back after two straight losses, including a brutal 51-0 shutout by the Warriors in Week 2. They’ll need sharper execution and better defensive coverage to stop the slide. Meanwhile, the Greenbacks are aiming to regain momentum after falling short to the Panthers. They’ve shown flashes of brilliance, but consistency is key going forward. Both teams need this win badly.
Raptors vs. Ikan Sports
This clash could be the game of the week. Raptors, who narrowly lost to the L.A. Knights, will look to rally behind their explosive offense. But they face a powerhouse in Ikan Sports—unbeaten and steamrolling the competition with 98 points across two games. Farouk has been a nightmare for defenses, and Raptors will have to dig deep to contain him.
Panthers vs. L.A. Knights
Panthers are riding high after their first win and now face their toughest test yet in the L.A. Knights. The Knights remain undefeated and composed, led by QB Tayo and a defense that thrives under pressure. This one promises a strategic showdown between two well-coached teams with contrasting styles.
Lagos Alpha vs. Warriors
After a tough loss to Ikan Sports, Lagos Alpha meets a red-hot Warriors squad fresh off a dominant Week 2 performance. The Warriors have combined defense, athleticism, and depth to become early title favorites. Alpha must protect the ball and limit big plays to stay in this one.
Week 3 is shaping up to be a pivotal chapter in the Showtime Flag Football League—played under the Nigeria Flag Football Federation. With the expanded 2025 season now underway, fans can expect more action, more drama, and more unforgettable moments on the road to the Showtime Bowl Season XII.
