Dennerby Invites 30 Women League Players To Camp

Female national team, Super Falcons’ coach, Thomas Dennerby has put his FIFA Women’s World Cup programme into another gear by inviting 30 home-based players to camp for a preliminary training spree.

 

Sports247.ng learnt that the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) players have been called-up to the Falcons’ camp for the start of basic preparations for this summer’s Female Mundial in France.

Three goalkeepers Tochukwu Oluehi, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Christy Ohiaeriaku make the list, along with defenders Glory Ogbonna and Josephine Chukwunonye, as well as midfielders Cecilia Nkwu, Amarachi Okoronkwo and Osarenoma Igbinovia.

They are joined by forwards Alice Ogebe and Anam Imo, while another keeper Alaba Jonathan, as well as defender Ugochi Emenayo, midfielder Evelyn Nwabuoku and forward Chioma Wogu also return to the fold.

The nine time African champions, who have been to China and Cyprus as part of preparations for the big global fiesta in France, with six matches in all, are scheduled to play two matches in Spain in April.
