At the 2025 NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championship held at Park City Arena, three Nigerian freshmen made headlines with their outstanding performances. In a night that crowned ten individual champions and saw over 200 competitors from ten weight classes, the success of these young athletes reinforced the growing presence of Nigerian talent in NAIA wrestling.

Christianah Ogunsanya (117 Pounds – William Penn)
