Speculation over the six players that will not be dressed for Saturday’s match against Libya will linger into the early hours of Saturday, as Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr is keeping his tactical plans close to his chest.
Checks by sports247.ng at the Eagles’ camp in Uyo late Friday revealed that Rohr is not letting the cat out of the bag over the 18 players that would be officially listed for the game, which would automatically leave only six out of the picture.
Not even fears over possible injuries to some players during training sessions since Wednesday could bring up permutations on who is in and who is out, as team officials insist none of the invited players is nursing one form of fitness issue or the other.
When contacted on the matter same day, Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye stated categorically that none of the players is injured, but refused to name those who will not be dressed for Saturday’s match.
Ibitoye stated exclusively to sports247.ng: “The six players to be dropped will be named tomorrow (Saturday). No injury worries at all.”
