Etafia Urges Super Eagles to Leave It All on the Pitch in Crucial Qualifiers

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Greg Etafia has issued a stern call to his former teammates as Nigeria prepares to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in must-win World Cup qualifying matches later this month. Etafia warned that nothing short of victory will be accepted, emphasizing that complacency has no place if the team is to revive its campaign.

“You have three points in the group while Rwanda sits with seven,” Etafia stated. “There’s absolutely no other option. You must win and secure those six points to get back into the groove—draws simply won’t help us. We have to leave everything on the pitch.”

With Nigeria currently struggling in their group, Etafia’s remarks underline the urgency for the Super Eagles to snap out of their recent form slump. The former goalkeeper’s message is clear: the team must display full commitment and intensity in both games if they are to reverse their fortunes and keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.

As the pressure mounts, all eyes will be on the Super Eagles to see if they can rise to the occasion and deliver the results that Nigerian fans so desperately need.
