The first Stanza of the 2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League gave an intriguing interesting results and performance.

The surprise team was Remo Stars ladies where they won five of their six matches and drawing just one and also ending as the Group A leaders in first of the NWFL season.
Teams like Bayelsa Queens , Edo Queens, Rivers Angels alongside Remo stars ladies are still unbeaten in the league.
Remo stars ladies lead group A with 19 points, while defending Champions Edo Queens closely behind them with 17 points.
In Group B, seven times NWFL Champions Rivers Angels are on top of the group B with 17 points with Bayelsa Queens also on 17 points after six matches.
The NWFL has given a bright spark and players shown remarkable display of talents and have enjoy rave reviews.
Top on the list is Bolaji Olamide of Remo stars ladies who plays as a striker for the Ogun state based club and also the top scorer with nine goals.
Kemi Adegbuyi of Robo Stars, the 14 year petit forward is one destined for a great future and the fans were thrilled by her rare display of football maturity far above her age.
Another one is Mary Lucky of Abia Angels, she is second on top goals scorer chart with six goals in seven matches.
Others are Bashiru Kafayat of Remo stars ladies and Offor Mary Moses of Rivers Angels five goals each.
Mary Peace of Rivers Angels, Nkwocha Favour of Robo Queens and Osigwe Goodness of Edo Queens with four goals and the ever consistent Emem Essien of Edo Queens.
These players have been phenomenal for the various club side in the Nigeria Women’s Football League.
With 150 goals, in the first stanza the fans have more to cheer, a testament to the fact NWFL Premiership is improving and a good number to flaunt as the emerging talents have shown they have what it takes to dominate the Africa continent and beyond in the nearest future.
If the first half has been more than amazing, the second half promises to be more exciting and the ardent followers of the league can’t but wait for the March 19 2025 kick off date.
The second stanza will separate the girls from the women as the top 3 from group A and group B will move into the champions determining final phase called the super six while the bottom teams in each of the group will be relegated from the elite league .
