Leal SC’s center forward, Sunday Ojeka, made a statement in the opening game of the 2025 Dynasty Scouting League (DSL) Season 1, scoring a stunning hat trick to lead his team to a 4-1 victory over BE Arena FA.
The highly anticipated Week 1 clash took place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode. Alongside Ojeka’s heroics, Abdullahi Ahmon also found the net for Leal SC, while BE Arena FA’s only goal came from last season’s joint top scorer, Emmanuel Nweke.
Ojeka picked up right where he left off last season, having scored eight goals in 13 league matches in the 2024 DSL Season 2. His performance drew praise from Leal SC chairman Olaolu Onadipe, who believes such displays will attract interest from European clubs.
“They all did well today; they were focused in all departments, and I expect them to keep this attitude and mentality until the end of the season,” Onadipe said after the match.
For his outstanding display, Sunday Ojeka was awarded the Man of the Match (MOTM), a prize sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.
