This is in response to the of the Nigeria Football Federation after the Super Eagles demanded for a single supporter group during matches.

The NFF met with the different supporters club and demanded that that should produce only group henceforth and support the Super Eagles as unit.

Okumagba in his reaction against the new develpmemt as the Super Eagles prepare for two crucial world cup qualifiers matches said:

” Every group has no choice but to align you heard what NFF secretary said this morning”

” Don’t forget we all signed the MOU before I emerged as the Interim Management Chairman.”

The Vice President of African Football Supporters Association then confirmed that the body will be going to Rwanda and Uyo under a unified name called Nigeria Football and Supporters Group .

Okumagba said : ” As of today ,we have only one support group, and it’s clear to everyone. We can not operate otherwise”

“We are working on supporters wearing same apparel and supporting in oneness”, he concluded.

Super Eagles captain, William Troost Ekong once described the plurality of tunes from the stands in form or support for the Super Eagles as a distraction and demand that they should be scrapped if they cannot operation as one.

In line with this demand, the Nigeria Football Federation initiated a reconciliatory meeting with the various groups in attendance while the NFF directed that it will no longer condone duplicity of supporters for the Super Eagles on Match days.

Nigeria is currently with three points in four games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifications race which makes the two matches in the month of March a must win if they want to remain a contender for the sole qualifying ticket.
