Niger Tornadoes’ technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, expressed disappointment over his team’s failure to convert their first-half chances, which led to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Enyimba.
A decisive second-half goal from Joseph Atule secured victory for the visitors, earning Enyimba a crucial three points.

The defeat was a tough blow for the Tornadoes, especially after their midweek triumph over Lobi Stars in Bauchi.
In a surprising tactical move, the Tornadoes’ technical crew started Aliyu Junior instead of Rickson Mendos and Olawale Emmanuel Ayodele.
However, the decision backfired as Aliyu struggled to make an impact before being substituted for Rickson Mendos just before halftime.
Enyimba capitalized on a swift counter-attack, with Atule delivering a clinical finish to break the deadlock.
Despite the Tornadoes’ attempts to equalize, they couldn’t penetrate Enyimba’s solid defense, ultimately suffering defeat.
Speaking after the match, Majin Mohammed attributed the loss to poor finishing. “We had our opportunities in the first half but didn’t take them. Enyimba got theirs and made it count.”
Looking ahead, he remains determined to turn things around in their next fixture against Rivers United. “They took three points from us in Minna. Now, we’ll go to their ground and fight to return the favor.”
