Rwanda Change Coach For Super Eagles As ‘Vastly Experienced ‘ Amourouche Takes Over Amavubi Three Weeks To World Cup Qualifiers

Three weeks to the restart of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as Adel Amrouche takes charge of the Amavubi ahead of Super Eagles clash, Sports247 reports.

The vastly experienced African coach took over on Saturday 1st of March, 2025 from Torsten Spittler as the head coach of the Rwanda national football team Amavubi, who left the job recently.

Reports from Rwanda confirmed Adel Amrouche, the former head coach of the Burundi national team, has been appointed to take over the reins of the Rwandan team.

Amrouche, renowned for his success in African football, is tasked with guiding Rwanda through the crucial upcoming World Cup qualification matches starting with the Super Eagles of Nigeria March 19, 2025.

Born on March 7, 1968, in Algeria, Adel Amrouche has built a strong and diversified coaching career, spanning several countries in Africa.

He first made his mark in coaching with the Burundi national team between 2007 and 2012, where he laid the foundations for a team that would go on to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2019—a historic achievement for the nation.
